Hand Database Analysis

Welcome everyone! When you have a hand database of 10-20,000 hands (the more, the more accurate the statistics, of course), you have a fantastic opportunity to look at your game from a different perspective.
Trackers can help you with this. This is poker software for collecting and storing all the hands you’ve played at all tables. Trackers act as a mirror. They show you not only your overall financial results, but also how other regulars view your play, your moves, and your leaks in the game.
Below, we’ll explain in detail how to use trackers for hand analysis. Studying your own poker game, and how to use trackers to analyze your game.

Hand Analysis.

"Professional poker player analyzing statistics using a HUD and poker software on a computer screen."

In real time, you flag the hand you want to analyze in detail, and after the session, you can easily find it in the HUD. Display the statistics you need during the game. The tracker imports played hands into its database, analyzes them, and displays the corresponding values on the screen.

You can customize the display of values in different colors. For example, you can display opponent aggression: above normal (red), below normal (green). The goal of the HUD is to quickly collect the necessary statistics to formulate a strategy that adapts to the dynamics of your opponents at the table.
This is very convenient when playing a large number of tables. Filters. You can specify any statistic for the tracker: how many times your three barrels worked and against what type of opponents; how often you folded the river to a bet… This feature opens the door to a creative approach to the game. Developing new strategies, studying the game more deeply, understanding other players’ playsβ€”trackers make this possible.

Analyzing your opponents’ play.

At every game limit, you face competitionβ€”regulars who want to both drive you out of poker and make money off you. Some avoid such encounters with strong opponents (don’t play 1v1 tables with them), and in the age of artificial intelligence, there’s a chance of playing 1v1 against bots, which will ultimately be a losing proposition. But sometimes, there’s nowhere to run. If you’re playing a 6-max table, the following breakdown is guaranteed: 2-3 regulars, 1-2 weak players (for whom the game was organized). It’s important not to deceive yourself, but to quickly determine your place in the pecking order at the table. This depends on how long you can stay at this table without losing money. For example, if one of the weaker opponents leaves the table, your expectation of play can drop dramatically, meaning it’s time to run.

Analyzing the play of other regulars is essential to increasing your time at the table. In other words, to move up the pecking order. The better you understand the mindset of your avid competitors, the higher your expectation will be when playing against them. What to look for:
How many tables the other player is playing at once. The more tables they have, the easier it is to beat them; they likely think through their decisions without delving too deeply into each hand. They won’t adjust to us, and we, on the contrary, will build our strategy to maximize profitability against them. C-bet values on each street. We can often see an imbalance in strategy: the reg bets the flop with a high frequency, and the turn and river with a low frequency. This gives us an opportunity to float: it’s easy to call the flop, and if they check on the turn/river (there’s a high chance they’ll call the nuts), we can take the pot with a small bet. Fold values on each street. We also look for imbalances (on which street the opponent folds more often) and adjust accordingly.
And so on, gradually, we identify the weaknesses and leaks of others and simply apply maximum pressure to these areas. It’s better to play 3-4 tables, pay close attention to your opponents, and think carefully about your hands. If you want to make poker your main source of income, you need to take it extremely seriously.
