This isn't the first time CoinPoker has publicly demonstrated its commitment to cracking down on violators

This week, CoinPoker made a major announcement: accounts of players who used third-party software to automatically select seats in cash games were permanently banned.

What is a seat script?

This refers to so-called “seat scripting”β€”a practice where software constantly monitors cash game lobbies and automatically seats a player as soon as a recreational opponent sits down. This doesn’t violate the rules of play at the table itself, but it does give an aggressive advantage to regular players. This is detrimental to the poker room’s ecology and creates a toxic environment for newcomers.
In its statement, CoinPoker noted that such actions “contrary to the spirit of the game” and constitute a “violation of a healthy gaming environment.” Furthermore, it is a direct violation of the platform’s terms of service. It is considered cheating, giving a clear advantage, which is unfair.

Investigation and Bans on the Platform

Following a thorough internal investigation, several accounts that used scripts to track seating at cash tables have been permanently banned. The company did not disclose how many accounts were penalized, but the ban itself is a signal to other users: seat manipulation will not go unpunished, so be aware and play fairly and responsibly.

This isn’t the first time CoinPoker has publicly demonstrated its commitment to cracking down on violators. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the platform can detect open GTO Wizard software and won’t launch until it’s closed. And rightfully so; everyone wants to play open and fair poker!
Good luck to everyone and have a great time at the best poker room!
